Background
Laura is a senior leader with 20+ years’ experience helping businesses align impactful strategies with mission-driven objectives. While the positions have varied, the roles she performed largely shared a common thread – overcoming ambiguity and leading new initiatives in complex environments.
Prior to Earth Finance, Laura spent nearly a decade at Boeing, where she worked with the teams that were driving development of the first sustainable biofuels for use in aircraft. In this role she helped lead creation and adoption of the company’s first carbon reduction metrics. She also led development of the company’s first environmental narrative framework, the foundation of which is still in use today. In addition, she managed a national influence campaign to help drive support for aerospace during the early days of the Boeing-Airbus trade dispute and served as a brand manager for the 747.
Laura went on to serve as Director at a public affairs firm advising clients develop meaningful sustainability programs. And she later led a nonprofit out of a challenging chapter, leaving it financially thriving and programmatically impactful.
Laura has worked for a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. and has proven experience deploying stakeholder engagement to achieve revenue, policy and business goals. Her extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs enables her to provide well-rounded counsel to organizations working to effectively advocate, educate and influence.
Laura has an MBA from the Foster School of Business and a B.A. in Honors Political Science, both from the University of Washington. She lives in Seattle.
