Background
Jacob Dalder is a Manager at Earth Finance where he focuses on energy decarbonization and sustainability strategy development that bridges sectors. He has supported clients across the financial, automotive, technology, retail, healthcare, insurance, food service, and transportation industries. His consulting experience ranges from developing the first ever enterprise-wide climate action plan for a multi-billion dollar global retail company to quantifying and recommending EU-wide capital investments needed to comply with the bloc’s 2030 emissions reduction regulations for four key sectors for a European financial institution.
Prior to Earth Finance, Jacob was a Managing Consultant at ERM in London where he delivered transportation decarbonization projects for British and European companies and completed studies in collaboration with NGOs to inform policymaking at both local and national levels. Before his stint in the UK, Jacob was a consultant at Point B in Seattle focused on sustainability strategy and social impact projects.
Jacob loves being outdoors and is an avid hiker, having completed several 4-10-day hikes in Europe and South America. He enjoys all types of arts and culture—visual, musical, literary, experiential, and of course culinary. You can expect to find him traveling (either exploring his new backyard of NYC and the east coast or going further afield), reading, or playing board games with friends in his free time.
Jacob received a MSc in Environmental Technology (Energy Policy) with Distinction from Imperial College London and a BA in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
