Background
Garrett Kephart is a trusted climate transition strategist and Co-Founder, President and CEO of Earth Finance. He designs and implements new business models for climate action, energy transition, and sustainability solutions for corporations, nonprofits, foundations, governments, and entrepreneurs. He has worked with clients from more than a dozen industries bridging corporate strategy, public policy, and finance with a combination of creativity, data-driven insights, human-centered design, and agile methods.
Garrett began his 20+ year strategy consulting career in Washington, DC with the Cadmus Group Air and Water Quality Practices and subsequently with Deloitte Consulting's Energy, Resources, and Sustainability practices. He founded Point B's Sustainability program and launched its Corporate Strategy, Climate, Sustainability, and Social Impact practices.
He is an active investor and serial entrepreneur and is actively involved with a variety of nonprofits and charitable organizations, including the Seattle Parks Foundation where he is Board Chair and the National Board of NatureBridge. An experienced outdoorsman, Garrett has led multi-day wilderness canoe trips throughout Eastern Canada and to Hudson's Bay for over 20 years. He spends his free time in the great outdoors with his two kids, Ainsley and Sawyer, and relaxing with his wife Amy and basset hound Kona in the San Juan islands north of Seattle.
Garrett has a B.A., cum laude, from Colby College, an MPP in Environmental Policy from the George Washington University, and a Certificate in Sustainable Energy Solutions from Presidio Graduate Institute.
