Background
Erik Haug is a Director at Earth Finance with 15+ years of strategy, innovation and venture building experience. Erik leverages a blend of human-planet centered design, rapid-prototyping and emerging technologies to explore new business models and solve complex sustainability problems.
Erik has led a wide range of consulting engagements from data analytics and product development initiatives at major Fortune 500s to designing and facilitating strategic visioning offsites for senior executives around the world.
Prior to Earth Finance, Erik was the Founder & CEO of LIGHT CoCreative, a global innovation and impact collective focused on accelerating purpose-driven ventures and solutions to global issues. He was also a lead facilitator and founding teammate of the Insights Studio at the Deloitte Greenhouse where he worked with clients to explore a broad spectrum of value creation opportunities using advanced data analytics and visualization tools.
Erik studied Economics and International Affairs at The George Washington University and received a Student-Athlete honors award as the starting Division 1 Varsity Men's Soccer goalkeeper. His Economics thesis, Social Business, continues to be the foundation of his long-term mission to cultivate a more sustainable and virtuous private sector.
Erik currently lives in Southern California with his wife and two cats. He is an avid surfer, traveler, chef and active member in his community serving as the soccer goalkeeper coach and a student-athlete mentor at his local High School.
