Background
Eli is a partner, and the co-head of the power and utilities practice at the law firm Baker Botts, LLP. He helps companies navigate the changing energy landscape by solving the complex financing challenges of the energy transition, incorporating his knowledge of tax, policy, and finance with market insights. He has worked on solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, biofuels, hydrogen, hydroelectric, batteries, fuel cells, energy efficiency, demand response, electric vehicles, pipeline and powerlines, natural gas plants, nuclear, carbon capture projects and some others.
Previously he was the global co-head of sustainability at Deloitte, as well as the leader of Deloitte’s Alternative Energy Tax Practice. He is an adjunct professor of international energy policy and markets at the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service.
